Company History
For three generations the Barish family has operated a company that merchandised ice cream novelties from coast to coast. The company began with eight ice cream tricycles and grew to become one of Canada’s largest merchandisers with over 10,000 units.
Due to its outstanding distribution and controls, it effectively managed to introduce its own brand names into the marketplace, as well as helped in the launching of such names as: Chipwich, O’Henry, Häagen-Dazs, Elán and Klondike Nuggets, among many others.
Throughout this time the company designed and merchandised equipment primarily for its own use. It has proprietary rights along with patents for this unique equipment.
The original family business, known as Dickie Dee, had gained such national recognition that by late 1992 it was purchased by Unilever as their entry into the Canadian ice cream market.
Today, Vital Link Ice Cream & Event Marketing Inc. is an established company with many years of success in the ice cream and special events market. Know you can trust Vital Link to make your next event count!
